I was born in California and grew up near the coast in the small town of Santa Maria. I started playing trumpet in 2nd grade and after moving to Sacramento, I played in both high school marching band and jazz band. After I graduated from college with an A.S. degree in electronics, I went to work in Silicon Valley in 1978. I worked for Hewlett Packard, Novell, and for several other tech companies.. I started out troubleshooting computer hardware for a couple of years, then went on to software driven automated testing, networking, and finally industrial automation software. I eventually moved to Oregon and worked on instrumentation software. I started my own software consulting company in 1996 doing contracting to Fortune 500 companies and eventually employed two people.

 I love traveling and I've been to the UK, France, Scotland, Israel, Australia, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Martinique, Hawaii, and all over the USA.

 I'm a digital recording artist, filmmaker, and photographer. I like anything Internet related, camping, cats, and reading about the ancient technology of the Sumerians and Egyptians.
